Who We Are The Texas Academy of  General Dentistry is the only organization that exclusively serves general dentists in Texas. Founded in 1961, the TAGD has grown to be the second largest dental association in Texas. The TAGD continues to adhere to the values of lifelong learning as well as advocating for the general dentist.
