Course Description
Even though non-extraction therapy dominates the current orthodontic landscape, extractions still have a place in modern orthodontics. Extraction of teeth should be utilized to achieve specific goals, not as a “one size fits all” approach. This course is meant to educate the general practitioner on the benefits of different orthodontic extraction patterns. The aim is to improve future communication between patients, dentists, and specialists.
Attendees Will Learn
- Relieve confusion caused by different tooth numbering systems
- Present rationale for different extraction patterns used to facilitate orthodontic correction of malocclusions
