Texas AGD works to represent our members as the voice of the General Dentist.
Whether it is a discussion regarding the use of mid-level providers, changes in Medicaid reimbursement rates or regulations governing the use of anesthesia, it is essential that our perspective is heard. Just one misguided law or regulation can have a major impact on the cost of running your practice, the quality of patient care, or even your ability to provide services. No other organization solely represents the interests of general dentists and our patients at the Capitol and before agencies like the State Board of Dental Examiners. Texas AGD’s leadership has made the commitment to have a strong advocacy program, but your help is needed.
The Texas Advocacy Program was established to support the Academy’s government affairs efforts. The funds may be used in support of Texas AGD’s legislative and regulatory initiatives for purposes such as hiring a lobbyist, developing grass roots communications and conducting advocacy training. The program is not a political action committee and funds will not be used for campaign contributions.
Members receive access to the Gatekeeper, a monthly legislative news brief.
