Sedation Protocols and Emergency Preparedness: What You Need to Know to Meet Requirements

Published by Texas Academy of General Dentistry

Summary

In 2017, the Texas Legislature made changes to the Dental Practice Act that affected the administration of all types of sedation in Texas. The Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE) is currently writing rules to comply with the changes directed by the legislature. In this session, we will review those legislative changes and give up-to-date information on the rules making progress by the Board so that you can administer sedation that stays in compliance with the evolving State Board rules.
