Course Description
Placement of the maxillary central Incisor is a key diagnostic metric when designing treatment for all age groups ranging from very young pediatric patients to mature adult patients. Location of the central incisor in all planes of space is affects function, esthetics, airway and stability while integrally affecting decision making for individual clinicians and the multidisciplinary team. A wide range of patients will be reviewed demonstrating how placement of the maxillary central incisor affects the outcome of restorative, periodontal, orthopedic, orthodontic, surgical, TMJ, and airway treatment plans.

Course Objectives

  • Why the central incisor location drives decision making for dental restoration, orthopedics, orthodontics, orthognathic surgery, and facial esthetic planning.
  • How to evaluate central incisor position.
  • How to use diagnostic tools including simple in office measurements to determine the best location for the central incisor.
